Project Location:
Washington School Neighbors
Briefly Describe Your Project Idea:
The project is to take our existing garden space that we own and revamp it into a gathering place. Currently there are 12 individual plots, and the goal is to remove those plots and make the whole garden for everyone.
Why does your community need this project?
Our neighborhood is diverse and we need a common meeting ground. We also need to draw on each other’s skills. Furthermore, the more we know our neighbors, the safer and more uplifting our community will be.
What do you hope to achieve through this project?
By enhancing the Community Garden area and making it open to all, the goal is to create a more positive impact on the neighborhood. A place we want to go gather. A place we are proud of. A place we can feel safe.
Voting will open at 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 30 and close Sunday, June 11 at 11:59 pm.
