The Dating Game Comedy Show is the main feature of the show, however it will include several locals giving them a chance to showcase their talents and skills. I plan to do the show in the Southfield area. My project partners are Women In Touch, Teen Hype, and hopefully Black Story Tellers,
How will you engage your community in this project?
We hope to draw people from Southfield and surrounding neighborhoods to take part in the entertainment part of the show and we hope to keep this on-going every 4 months as we write and produce more stage skits in comedy and showcase talent as well as give people who love to show their talent a place to do in their community.
How will the project celebrate the neighborhood’s diversity? Diversity can include different ages, races, cultures, socio-economic statuses, abilities, and more.
We welcome people of all races and diversity its a celebration of life and it opens up dialog to help people get to see that no matter who you are you are valued and important and a part of the community.
How do you plan to spend the $1,000 microgrant? Please list and explain the items, services, fees, expertise, etc. that you plan to purchase.
The grant will cover the cost of sound equipment, videography and D.J.
The Videography. Will be $400/ D.J/.sound equipment such as mic’s will run about $200-$400
The remaining funds will cover marketing, flyers, and a few Ad’s

ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD’S NEEDS
Why does your neighborhood need this project?
I feel the neighborhood needs this project because I see a lot of events that are targeted to older people only and not enough to include other age groups. Young adults and teens need a opportunity to showcase their talented skills and be featured artist within the community.
What do you hope to achieve through this project? Be as specific as possible!
I have been writing and producing wholesome family shows for over 20 years will complete sell out show. I hope to bring back the love of the arts and possible keep hope alive through the opening of a substantial business that will include the community that will continue to grown even after I am gone on to glory.
What resources do you already have to make this project successful? Resources could include things like time, partners, expertise, donated goods/materials/space, matching funds, and more.
The resources that I have are people who are willing to get in the arena and make this happen. People who are excited to be a part of this opportunity. I have to writing skills and I am going to match this grant should I be a grantee. I will also launch a campaign for funds through friends I know and use the fund to keep this comedy/ entertainment show going so we can become sustainable on our own. My partners will be Sonnie Day a long time singer in the Metro Detroit area, Cindy Moore a stage handler to some of Motown greatest also founder of Women In Touch who is also a long time comedian friend whom I have done numerous shows with. I will reach out to T.J. Hemphill of Perilous Times who I have been an actress in several of his show and worked the stages of Scrooge as a lead actress.
