Each September, we host an annual fundraising reception in conjunction with the Michigan Municipal League Convention. This year’s event will be a bit different!

Join us for the Motor City Friendly at the Detroit City Football Club’s Fieldhouse in Detroit on September 26 for a causal night of games and networking for a good cause. Tickets for our yearly fundraising reception are now available. If you’re a League member, you can add them to your Convention registration. Not a member? Not a problem! You can buy tickets here.

This event is an ideal opportunity for local leaders and decision makers to connect and network while having fun in a relaxed, casual environment.

Thanks to our donors, the MML Foundation provides scholarships that allow leaders to access helpful resources. Your ticket purchase will help local officials get the tools they need to identify, develop, and implement strategies that will grow and strengthen Michigan’s communities.

We’ll have lawn games like cornhole and giant Jenga, and Michigan favorites like cribbage and euchre. Guests will even have access to the indoor soccer fields for a game of pickup soccer! The DCFC Clubhouse has a restaurant and they’ll be providing beverages and heavy appetizers.

This year, we will also highlight our work in Hamtramck to create more recreational opportunities for children and families and attract visitors from across the region.

Our partners at the city, school district, Friends of Historic Hamtramck Stadium and Detroit City Football Club are seeking meaningful community input as they build a placemaking plan for the area that includes the Historic Hamtramck Stadium and historic Keyworth Stadium where the Detroit City Football Club plays. The project is generously supported through a grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.

Admission is $55 and includes drink tickets, heavy appetizers and a night of fun in a unique soccer-themed indoor venue. A bus will be available for Convention attendees and there is plenty of parking available onsite.
