We hope to see you this Tuesday and Wednesday, March 19-20, at the League’s annual Capital Conference at the Lansing Center.

While you’re there, make sure to visit the Expo and stop by the League’s booth where we’ll be sharing information about available scholarships for members and students. And drop off your business card for a chance to win a gift card.

The conference kicks off with a speech from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and includes updates from the League’s legislative team, a legislative breakfast and the latest information on grants and government programs from state and federal agencies. As always, there will be lots of opportunities to learn new skills and network with colleagues.

Also on Tuesday night, this year’s Awards Gala will honor local and state officials who support Michigan communities. We’ll also have a fundraising opportunity for the League’s 16/50 Project, which provides training — and removes barriers — so more women can lead their communities. It’s a project that’s generously supported by our donors and one that has already received some media attention.
