The Bridge Builders microgrant program began as a pilot program in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, we have awarded over $34,500 in microgrants to individuals and groups for creative projects that that build trust and belonging, reinforce individual and community wellbeing, and celebrate diversity and culture. Bridge Builders grants seek to support dynamic, creative, and participatory activities that bring people together across perceived barriers, celebrate place, and advance equitable opportunities.

The next big thing is a million little things.

The power of Bridge Build microgrants is that a relatively small grant can empower residents and create a big impact of their community. For a small amount of pocket change, you can encourage community change all across Michigan.

Donations from any organization or individual will increase the amount available for grants to Bridge Builders in Michigan this year.
Between now and March 30, up to $5,000 in donations will be doubled.

"I believe that representation matters to bring diverse communities together.  The audience learned that an active group of minority artists is working hard in the City. I believe that this newfound relationship will flourish into a greater project."
